This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

Today pattern your life after a candle -

radiate light to those around you.

I sometimes think that friendliness

is like a cheerful song.....

It makes the good days better,

and it helps when things go wrong.

Today keep hope in your life

and a smile on your face.

Today open the window of your heart

and let light and love shine through.

The happiness you share with others

will circulate back to you.

Let us see in others

not their little imperfections,

But let us find the good things

that arouse our best affections.

Thank you, God, for sending

a happy thought my way

To blot out my depression

on a disappointing day.

God's love is like an island

In life's ocean vast and wide-

A peaceful quiet shelter

From the restless, rising tide.

Today laugh at your mistakes.

May he who sends the raindrops

and makes the sunshine too,

Look down and bless you richly

and be very near to you.
